Out for a Spin

Does the saying go "It's like riding a bike?" Because, after today, I think it should go more like "It's like getting on a bike after 5 years and looking like an idiot."

No, I didn't fall off, so stop wondering. And no, I'm no wearing a helmet you helmet Nazi! I just had a few wobbles, and who else remembers turning to be so scary? I thought I was going to skid out and smear road rash all over my face.

But look how cute this bike is! It's my Missoni bike that Kevin got me for Christmas! I determined today to be warm enough to feel the breeze on my face, but not to feel my fingers apparently.

Booking It.

So, do you want to hear something cool? I got a Nook Color for Christmas! Hello Awesomeness!!! Did you know I LOVE to read? If not, you don't know me at all.

You should also know that if I am sitting anywhere reading, the breakroom for example, I HATE you if you come and just start talking to me like I'm not doing anything. I HATE you! You should be offended if I ignore every attempt you make at conversation, because what I am reading is infinitely more interesting than you are. Silence!

On a happier note, I kept a running list all year of the books that I've read. There are 15 in all!

#1 Cleopatra- A Life (by Stacy Schiff)
#2 World Without End (by Ken Follett)
#3 Clan of the Cave Bear (Jean M. Auel)
#4 The Valley of Horses (Jean M. Auel)
#5 Style (Lauren Conrad)
#6  The Mammoth Hunters (Jean M. Auel)
#7 A Treasury of Royal Scandals
#8 The Passage (Justin Cronin)
#9 The Three Muskateers (Alexander Dumas)
#10 That Extra Half an Inch (Victoria Beckham)
#11 The Hangmans Daughter (Oliver Potzsch)
#12 The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Washington Irving)
#13 Sherlock Holms (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)
#14 Dracula (Bram Stoker)
#15 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll)

To add to my literary excitement, today I also got a new LIBRARY CARD! Mid-Columbia Library District, prepare to be raped of all your bookish wonder. Did I mention the Photoshop CS5 that Kevin gave me for Christmas? My lovely local librarian showed me the way to Photoshop For Dummies, what I truly needed. Never forget your local library, it's free and full of wonder.
