This is our first week of our last Trimester! This boy is becoming an active one. He loves to kick me on the right side of my stomach, and (as I imagine) shove his little butt out as far as he can- also on my right side. Either way there are little hard lumps moving all over. When Kevin sees him kicking he likes to poke him back, they are establishing a relationship early... Boys.
What else do I feel like talking about..?
Oh YEAH!
A BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to Tommy and Lauren Hoogkamer who were married this last Sunday!! Tommy is a childhood friend of Kevin and we don't know Lauren as well, but we like her and think that they are some mighty fine people! Kevin, that dashing young man, got to be a groomsman and he looked so good in his Tux. Believe it or not that was the first non-Mormon wedding I'd ever attended (at least since I was a small child). It was so fun to see all the friends and family come together. I'd also like to thank another one of Kevin's childhood friends Kevin Strozyk for sitting with me as Kevin performed his Groomsman duties. I feel like Winlock has raised some great people!

Now We're 27 Weeks Along!
This week I FINALLY went in the Hot Tub!!! So exciting! I really miss it. I had the happiest feet/shins in the whole world. The best part? turning on the jets and giving myself a well needed foot message.
Other than that, not much going on here. This is our last week of our second trimester...Eeeeeek! Time to buy more baby things I think, you know, to celebrate!

26 Weeks Fatter
What a fun packed week it's been. Kevin and I have not been acting like ourselves... we actually hung out with people. It's like we actually have friends, how weird. This week my Uncle Tod, we call him Tod, also came up from Utah for a visit. Tod and my parents went to some Kayaking thing last weekend that they didn't invite me too, but hearing about it and seeing pictures gave me the itch. Do you think I can fit all this ladyness into a Kayak right now and paddle around. I have my doubts, so add that to the list of things I really want to do but can't.... see also Hot Tubbing, sleeping, and eating cold-cut sandwiches.
This weekend, as you already know, was mothers day. I'm not sure if this counts as my first mothers day or not, but I did receive some nice "Happy Mothers Day" texts from my sister-in-laws Summer and Kristi, not to mention I got my own mothers day chocolate in church (YES!!!).
Probably the best part of mothers day though, was hanging out with my mom! We took my family Disc Golfing for the first time at a new course Kevin and I found. The weather was beautiful and we had SO much fun! As per usual I took my camera and I will now share with you some of my favorite shots from the day... Ever had a snowball fight with balls of flowers?

That was all the fun I had this week. Not so fun was my doom and gloom Doctors appointment. On Friday I went and had my blood drawn for a Diabetes Screening Test. Let's just say I failed. I failed big time. Failed with a score of 190! It's supposed to be in the low 100's. So now I have to back in for the 3 hour test and try not to fail that too. The Doc said mine was so high for my body type they considered skipping the 3 hour re-test all together and sending me into the clinic right away. I was also informed that I am slightly anemic, which I get to get blood drawn again to re-test that too. I have low blood-pressure (so that's why I'm so slow, lazy, and cold all the time), and most embarrassingly, I'm developing spider veins on my legs! On the bright side, baby looks great!!! He's sitting fat and happy in there, just getting fatter and happier, let's hope until mid-August.

100 Days and Counting
This is a terrorist!

These are the worst things in my life right now. The European (or "Common") Starling. They have taken up residence right above my sleeping head. First it was cats "doing it" right under my bedroom window. Now this! Every morning, around 6:00am, I am rudely awakened by a plethora of scratching, knocking, banging, chirping, and flapping. You can't sleep through that, I know, I've tried, a lot!
Kevin is up and gone before the crack of dawn, and before the animals, so this a burden I bare alone. It did get SO BAD yesterday that I started pounding on the ceiling in my room, only to see one of our beloved neighborhood cats jump down off my roof. Cats+Birds= NOISE! I text-ed my experience to Kevin and he made it a special point to come home from work and investigate (the noise was so bad I thought we had cats in the roof too). Here is a little Wikipedia background on my problem, in case you are interested:
"After two failed attempts, about 60 European starlings were released into New York’s Central Park in 1890 by Eugene Schieffelin. He tried to introduce every bird species mentioned in the works of William Shakespeare to North America in 1890.
Many hold a strong dislike of starlings because of their aggressive behavior at feeders and nesting sites, and their overwhelming flocks and roosting habits.
Starlings are among the worst nuisance species in North America. The birds travel in enormous flocks; pose danger to air travel; disrupt farms; displace native birds; and roost on city blocks. Corrosive droppings on structures cause hundreds of millions of dollars of yearly damage. In 2008 the U.S. government poisoned, shot or trapped 1.7 million, the most of any nuisance species."
It turns out all of my problem is just two little birds (the two Kevin caught on film in the photo above). Kevin tore apart their nest and blocked the entrance to the roof yesterday. Problem solved... Not! This morning, 6:00am, more banging and chirping than ever. Like, serious banging on metal and wood. Wouldn't you know, they got back in. They are rebuilding (again, see photo above), and they are as annoying as ever. Seeing as how our neighbors have set up three bird feeders right by the fence I can't see this problem going away easily. With bird feeders comes birds, with birds come cats, with cats come poop, and that's how I feel about this situation. POOPY!

Another Week Gone By
Oh my GOODNESS! This past weekend was so much fun! Kevin and I had some visitors at our house. Him Mom, his sister Summer and her kids Oliver and Ruby, and his brother Adam and girlfriend Hayley. We hung out, did some shopping, went out to eat, did some hot tubbing (without me... sadly), and played some games. Below are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

Also, new this week, my stroller has arrived! It's a Britax convertible stroller, so I can stick the infant carrier right on in it (as pictured below). That's one more big purchase to cross off the list!
